About Kristof

B2B software operator with 19+ years of commercial and general management experience across the Benelux and France. Kristof co-founded and bootstrapped Arinto in 2017, a vertical SaaS workforce management business acquired by Syntegro in 2022 and subsequently by Visma. He held senior sales leadership roles at Syntegro, ORTEC and IBM in Belgium. He steps into the CEO-in-Residence role at WAD Capital after two consecutive exits in the same software industry he now plans to keep building in.

Vision

The strongest B2B software and managed-services businesses in the Benelux are the ones customers embed into daily operations and cannot easily unplug; vertical, integrated, and quietly compounding. Kristof sees a widening gap between generalist tools and the deeply specialised SaaS platforms that mid-market operators actually depend on. His long-term vision is to grow a portfolio of recurring-revenue software and services businesses in Belgium and the Netherlands that mature under new ownership rather than stall under founder dependency. AI and mandatory digitisation across the Benelux sharpen the opportunity: the platforms that build both into their roadmap will define the next decade of the category.

Mission

Kristof plans to acquire a Benelux SME with recurring-revenue software or managed-services growth potential at its core, ideally a vertical SaaS or software-integrator business that has reached the point where the founding or leadership team  is ready to hand over the next chapter. The focus is on companies with proven customer stickiness and the ability to standardize the operational delivery model in order to scale the business. From day one Kristof intends to build depth in three areas: commercial SLA’s that deepens the recurring-revenue relationship with existing customers, standardisation of delivery so operations scale beyond the founder's head, and disciplined geographic and adjacent-sector expansion.

Impact

Kristof's track record is defined by building recurring-revenue software engines that mature into acquirable assets. He built a vertical SaaS business from scratch to a strategic exit, then guided the combined entity through a second acquisition, learning both sides of the buy-and-integrate cycle first-hand. A separate hospitality business he acquired in 2014 remains in his hands and operating a decade later, evidence of a temperament that scales founder-led SMEs patiently rather than flipping them. At WAD Capital, the shape he projects forward is the same: acquire a business that already works, professionalise its commercial and operational engine, and hold it long enough to compound.

Expertise

B2B software commercial scaling, recurring-revenue expansion and upsell design, vertical SaaS product-market fit, on-premise-to-cloud transitions, buy-side and sell-side M&A (as founder and operator), post-acquisition integration, standardisation of SaaS delivery cycles, Benelux and French enterprise sales leadership, workforce management vertical expertise. Across each of these Kristof's strength is turning founder-built commercial motions into repeatable systems that survive the transition to institutional ownership.
