Private Equity Analyst Internship

WAD Capital backs a new generation of entrepreneurs reshaping ownership across European small and mid-sized businesses. Our €100M search fund model puts aspiring CEOs directly into acquisition and growth roles at SMEs generating €1-5M in EBITDA — and our analyst internship sits right at the center of how those deals get evaluated, structured, and won.

You'll join a team addressing one of Europe's most overlooked opportunities: over 450,000 SME owners approaching retirement with no succession plan in place. Through our CEO Cohort model — built on a data-driven sourcing engine and a methodology developed at Stanford — we're professionalizing how entrepreneurship-through-acquisition works, deal by deal.

What You’ll Gain:

• Direct exposure to live deal evaluation — from first screen to signed LOI

• Analytical training in EBITDA normalization, sector benchmarking, and deal-specific financial modeling

• Working relationships with 10+ CEOs-in-Residence actively running acquisitions, and 3 General Partners overseeing the fund's investment strategy

• A front-row seat to how a search fund actually sources, diligences, and closes SME acquisitions in the Benelux market

• Hybrid flexibility, based out of our Brussels office

You’ll work across key stages of the acquisition process, including:

• Investment Analysis: Evaluate opportunities, conduct sector research, and support investment decisions.

• Outreach: Arrange seller meetings, manage CRM follow-ups, and draft communications.

• Due Diligence & Financial Modelling: Support detailed analysis and prepare materials for stakeholders.

• Research & Market Insights: Investigate business models, market trends, and industry data.

• Portfolio Support: Contribute to value creation initiatives and track investment performance.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• Final-year student or recent graduate in business, finance, economics, (business) engineering, or another analytical field

• Passion for entrepreneurship, with strong interest in corporate finance and private equity

• Strong analytical and financial skills, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint

• Outstanding academic record and active extracurricular engagement

• Prior internship experience in a related field is a plus

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn

• Proficiency in English; Dutch and/or French and/or German and/or Italian a plus

• Must hold EU citizenship — we do not provide relocation or visa sponsorship
